This presentation overviews some of the many projects which have implemented, or are currently testing, the carbon capture and sequestration chain. Phase 3 of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme will be briefly discussed and its consequences for industries will be outlined.
The basis and status of five operating CCS projects will be discussed and some of the current test facilities in the EU and elsewhere will be used to demonstrate that the CCS chain is effectively proven and should not therefore be used as justification for delaying wider implementation.
