Hydrate Formation - How to Deal with it.

Hydrate formation in gas and oil processing equipment is not a new phenomenon but one which has faced design engineers since it's recognition as a production problem fifty years ago. In fact a basic understanding of its nature and formation conditions has been available since this date. What is new and continually changing, is the application of this knowledge to new technology and environments currently faced by the oil/gas exploration and production industry. In addition to the theory, much can be learned about production implications by reviewing actual operating experiences involving hydrate formation, and it is from these experiences that new design features and operating techniques have been developed.
