This month's issue of In Brief opens with a fascinating article by Paul Stockwell of IMA discussing the latest developments of a prototype liquid detection system developed in association with National Grid of UK. The development was showcased at the 30th Anniversary Conference in Edinburgh in 2013, but this article discusses the outcome of testing of the device. The intention of the device is to provide alarms in the event of liquid entering the grid system and allow operators better understanding of the process conditions.

Keith Thomas also provides a leading article, View from the Top discussing the continuing issue of attracting and keeping Young Engineers into the natural gas processing industry in order to help drive the innovation necessarily required to meet the demands of commercial necessity.

The magazine also provides the usual comprehensive reports of the March 2014 conference held in Paris and the May Conference in Leiden.
