Strategy for a Successful Revamp

Presented at AGM & Technical Meeting, 23 November 2017 at Hilton London Paddington Hotel by Céline Volpi, TechnipFMC
Debottlenecking a plant is a particular and sensitive exercise where the engineering have to work-out technical and technological solutions that will meet the operator needs in term of increased production or to meet new products specifications or new feedstock requirement. In the meantime, the facility modifications shall be minimal, to minimize the CAPEX, but shall also be implemented within the shortest possible shutdown, to minimize the production losses.
This paper will present TechnipFMC methodology to assess plant potential, define debottlenecking options, and work-out construction strategy to get the most from a plant revamp, meeting the safety targets and with minimum disturbance on the plant day to day operation. This will be illustrated by solutions implemented successfully in previous projects.
