The March 2014 issue of In Brief reports on the Annual Conference in Edinburgh in September and the AGM and Technical Meeting held in London in November 2014. The magazine also includes a fascinating discussion of the issues associated with the Standardisation of Natural Gas Qualities in Europe by Klaus Altfeld and Peter Schley of E.On particularly as laid down in the recent European Union draft standard. The discussion is particularly important as the composition and quality of gases introduced into the European gas transportation systems becomes more diverse. Keith Thomas, Chairman of GPA Europe discusses the evolution of gas processing technology as market demands have changed in the last thirty years and the magazine also includes his address to the AGM at the conclusion of his first year as Chairman.
