Welcome to our Young Professional Training Day

04 June 2025

A FREE* 1-day Training Day organised by GPA Europe, for graduates and chartered engineers with up to 5 years’ experience.

*Delegates from non-member companies are welcome to attend for a fee of £200 / €240.

Our Young Professional Day is designed for people who have recently joined or are thinking of joining the energy industries.

Delegates are anticipated to have a strong technical background or interest. The day is intended to help in understanding how your technical expertise can be applied within our industry.

Following the Training Day, you are warmly invited to our Networking Reception where drinks and canapés will be served.  The Networking Reception takes place at the same time at the Annual Conference Welcome Reception, giving Young Professional Training Day delegates the opportunity to network with senior leaders and key players in the industry.

 


The Programme Outline

A day focused on personal development, technical development, and building your professional network.

The Training Day will include interactive sessions on “Overview of Net Zero and Renewables and Safety Aspects of Hydrogen”, facilitated by PetroSkills, and a “Shell Climate Action Simulation Game”, facilitated by Shell.

Following the Training Day, we would like to invite you to our Networking Reception for drinks and canapés, taking place 5.00-7.00pm, giving delegates the opportunity to mingle with your fellow delegates, enjoy good company and a relaxing atmosphere. Our Young Professional Reception will be combined with our Annual Conference Welcome Reception, giving Young Professionals a great opportunity to network with senior leaders and key players in the industry.

All delegates will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance, for your Continued Professional Development portfolio.
